  1. What message (if any) do you think the author, Jessica Brody, is trying to make about infidelity in this book?

  2. Would you ever hire a fidelity inspector to test your loved one? Would you ever recommend a fidelity inspector to a friend?

  3. The character, Jen/Ashlyn, makes a point to never distinguish between men who cheat for the first time and men who have cheated many times. In her mind, they are all just “cheaters.” Do you agree with this? Or are there some acts of infidelity that are forgivable?

  4. When Jen’s best friend Sophie asks her to conduct a fidelity inspection on her fiancé, Jen eventually agrees but in the end she can’t go through with it. Do you think she was justified in lying to Sophie about the results? What would you have done if you were in Jen’s shoes?

  5. In the hotel room in Paris, after Jamie discovers the “A” card in Jen’s purse, he says, “I’m not the one who cheated.” What do you think he meant by that?

  6. Marta turned out to be more than just a housekeeper. What was her real role in Jen’s life?

  7. In the end, do you think Jen made the right decision by not telling her mom the truth about her secret past and her double life?

  8. Do you think Jen was right to forgive her father for what he did? Would you have been able to do the same?

  9. What did you think was the biggest unexpected twist of the story?

  10. Jessica Brody brings up the thought-provoking concept of “exposing the truth” no matter how ugly it might be. If you knew that a friend was being cheated on would you tell him/her? Would you want to know?
